Day 01

Arrival in Marrakech

Marrakech

On arrival, a member of our team will meet you at Marrakech airport holding a “Viaje en Marruecos” sign and take care of the transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to start exploring the city at your own pace.

Day 02

The road to the desert

Marrakech → Ait Ben Haddou → Sahara

Breakfast at the hotel and departure at 7:30 am towards the Sahara Desert. We cross the High Atlas Mountains, reaching the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m), with several stops for panoramic views. Our next stop is the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a jewel of Berber architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where productions such as Game of Thrones, Gladiator, Prince of Persia and Jesus of Nazareth were filmed. Lunch, then on along the famous Route of the Thousand Kasbahs, through traditional Berber villages. We stop at a local cooperative where you can optionally pick up what you need for the desert (turbans, trousers…). Arrival at the camp in the Sahara Desert.

Day 03

Sahara Desert Experience

Sahara

You can optionally rise early for one of the most memorable moments of the trip: sunrise over the Sahara, a spectacle of light and silence that stays with you. After breakfast we set off on a 4×4 excursion along one of the old routes of the legendary Paris-Dakar Rally, with panoramic stops. We visit a nomadic community in the process of settling, where we share a traditional tea and learn about their way of life. You can add activities such as quad bikes or razers, or simply relax with free time at the Sahara Pearl Hotel pool, our exclusive accommodation in the desert. In the afternoon, a camel ride to experience the magic of sunset among the dunes.

Day 04

Back to Marrakech

Sahara → High Atlas → Marrakech

You can optionally rise early once more for the sunrise. Breakfast and the drive back to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains. Arrival at around 8:00 pm.

Accommodation in Marrakech · Dinner on your own (not included) · ⚠️ That day you can take a flight from a city near the desert to Marrakech to avoid the long drive. Flights are limited and don't run every day: ask our agent.

Day 05

Visit Marrakech

Marrakech

Breakfast. In the morning (between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm) we take a guided tour of Marrakech. We start at the Koutoubia Minaret (13th c.), sister of Seville's Giralda and today the lighthouse and spiritual centre of the city. We continue to the Bahia Palace (16th c.), a symbol of aristocratic life in the Muslim Middle Ages, with its ambassadors' hall and cedar-wood ceiling. Then on to Jemaa el-Fna Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the agreed time, our staff handle the transfer to Marrakech airport. End of the trip and of our services.

The transfer is made 2 hours before your flight · The city tour is optional: with an early flight we take you to the airport 2-3 hours ahead.

Frequently asked

When does this trip run?

There are group departures throughout the season; the confirmed dates are on the departures calendar. If none of them work for you, we run the same itinerary privately for your group on whatever dates you want.

Are flights included in the tour price?

No, flights are not included in the package price.

What times should my flights be?

Day 1 only includes the airport-to-hotel transfer, so you can land at any hour. If you're travelling as a group you can arrive at different times; each person gets their transfer. On day 5 the airport transfer is made 2 hours before your flight; with an early flight we take you 2-3 hours ahead and the city tour is dropped.

Where does the tour start and end?

The tour starts and ends in Marrakech. You should fly into Marrakech–Menara Airport (RAK).

How many nights are spent in the desert?

Two. The other two nights are in Marrakech: the arrival night and night 4, on the way back from the desert.

Can I skip the long drive back?

Yes. On day 4 you can take a flight from a city near the desert to Marrakech. Flights are limited and don't run every day, so check with our agent before booking one.

Is the tap water drinkable in Morocco?

Tap water isn't recommended for drinking. During the trip we suggest bottled water, refill stations or purification methods to stay safely hydrated.

Is Morocco safe to travel in?

Morocco is generally a safe and welcoming destination. We recommend staying informed about local customs and respecting cultural norms.

What extra costs should I expect?

Your inbound flight and, if needed, an internal flight. Meals not included are specified in the itinerary. Also optional activities, personal shopping and souvenirs, and extra activities (buggy, jeep, quad bike…).

I arrive a day early — can I get an airport pickup or an extra night?

Yes. We can arrange additional transfers and extra nights, subject to availability and at an extra cost.

Will I need cash?

Yes. You'll need some cash for local expenses. Between €100 and €200 is usually enough, depending on the traveller. You can also withdraw money from ATMs along the way.

Can you cater for my dietary needs?

Yes, we can accommodate most dietary requirements. Let us know on the first day so we can organise it properly.

Can I have the trip privately, just for my group?

Yes. The trip can run privately for your group, with different accommodation categories from standard to luxury experiences. Ask our agent for a tailored quote.

Do I need a visa?

Passports from most European and American countries don't need a visa to enter Morocco. If yours isn't on that list, message us and we'll help you arrange it. No vaccinations are mandatory either.
