SAHARA EXPERIENCE

DAY 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Our staff will pick up passengers from the airport and transfer them to the hotel. Free time to have a first contact with the city. Dinner (not included). Accommodation in Marrakech. (On the first day, you can arrive at any time)

DAY 2: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Gorge

Breakfast. Departure to start the journey to the Sahara Desert. We will cross the High Atlas Mountains (2,260m) where we will have several stops to enjoy the wonderful panoramic views. We will continue towards the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a Berber fortress considered the most beautiful in the country and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many films like Game of Thrones, Prince of Persia, Jesus of Nazareth, and Gladiator were filmed here. We will have lunch here. We will continue along the Thousand Kasbahs road passing through Berber villages to reach our destination, the Dades Valley. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 3: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Sahara Desert

Breakfast. Departure to the Todra Gorges, known for being one of the most imposing rocky canyons in the country with over 300 meters in height. We continue our way until we reach the desert where we will change our mode of transportation: camels. Thus, we will discover how nomads have traveled over the centuries. We will stop to watch the sunset and we can do sandboarding. Upon arrival at the camp, an excellent mint tea and a delicious traditional Moroccan dinner will be waiting for you. With Berber drum music, we will enjoy a unique and unforgettable night, contemplating the immensity of the sky covered with a blanket of stars that populate the desert nights. Dinner and accommodation in the camp.

DAY 4: Sahara Desert – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Those who wish can get up early to enjoy one of the most unforgettable events of their stay in the Sahara, the sunrise: a spectacle of light and silence that will impress its viewers. Breakfast and return to Marrakech. Arrival approximately at 19:30.

Accommodation included (Dinner is not included).

DAY 5: Marrakech

Breakfast. In the morning (between 9 am – 1 pm) we will have a guided tour to explore the city of Marrakech. We will start with the Koutoubia Minaret (13th century), sister of the Giralda in Seville, which is currently the lighthouse and spiritual center of Marrakech. Subsequently, we will visit the Bahia Palace (16th century), a symbol of aristocratic life in medieval Muslim times, where its ambassador’s hall stands out, with its cedar wood ceiling. Then we will head to the “Jemaa el-Fna Square” declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site (starts around 09:00 and ends at 13:00).
