3 DAYS MARRAKECH TO FEZ

Day 1:

MARRAKECH – HIGH ATLAS – AIT BEN HADDOU – OUARZAZATE – DADES VALLEY

After breakfast, we’ll begin the desert tour. We’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains, through the country’s highest pass, Tizi n’Tichka (2,260m altitude), then pass through interesting villages until we reach the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou (UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987), a fortified complex within a walled town that you’ll surely recognize, as this citadel has been the setting for many famous movies.

Day 2:

DADES VALLEY – TODRA GORGES – MERZOUGA DESERT

After breakfast, we’ll continue the route passing through many Berber villages. We’ll visit the Todra Gorges with the possibility of having lunch there, to take advantage and see the impressive place peacefully. Once the visit is finished, we’ll head straight to the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you’ll start the camel excursion, making a stop to see the sunset, until reaching the heart of the desert. Upon arrival, an excellent and refreshing tea awaits you along with an exquisite Berber dinner, all accompanied by the music of the tam-tam (drums). You will enjoy a unique and unforgettable night, thanks to the abundance of stars that populate the desert nights. You’ll sleep in Berber tents.

Day 3:

MERZOUGA DESERT – MIDELT – IFRANE – FEZ

You’re already in the desert, enjoying the magic of the dunes… Today, it’s essential to wake up early to see the sunrise from the top of the dunes. After breakfast, we say goodbye to the desert and head to Midelt for lunch, and then continue to Ifrane. We’ll cross the cedar forest, with ancient cedars, and you’ll also have the chance to see the Barbary macaques or Gibraltar monkeys. Next, we’ll cross Ifrane, known as the “Moroccan Switzerland” for the architecture of its houses, and continue to Fez. We’ll arrive around 19:00 in Fez, marking the end of our tour.
