With this itinerary, we invite you to explore the historical heritage of Morocco, visiting some of the country’s most important cities, as well as the most relevant natural spaces that will touch your souls.
Itinerary
Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen
Arrival at Tangier port/airport and pick up by our staff. Departure to Chefchaouen.
Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, transfer to your hotel and free time to explore its streets, its old blue and white houses, and its panoramic views. Accommodation in Chefchaouen.
Day 2: Chefchaouen – Roman Ruins – Meknes – Fez
After breakfast, we depart for Fez, skirting the Rif Mountains to reach the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Optional guided tour of the ruins followed by a continuation to Meknes, a city that reached its zenith under Sultan Mulay Ismail. Visit to his mausoleum and the famous Bab Mansour gate. After the visit, we continue to our destination, Fez. Arrival in Fez. Accommodation in Fez.
Day 3: Guided Tour of Fez
Breakfast. Full-day visit to the oldest of the imperial cities and the spiritual center of the country. We start with a panoramic view from one of the hills surrounding the city, then visit the bronze gates of the Royal Palace, and then enter the medina, to visit Medersas (Quranic study centers), workshops in the artisans’ quarter: Divided by guilds, highlighting the spectacular tannery district. Day 4: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Cedar Forest – Desert of Merzouga
From Fez, we head towards the Middle Atlas, stopping in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Africa. Our next stop is Azrou, passing through the cedar forest where the famous Barbary macaques reside. We then continue through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, known for its fossils. Arrival in the desert where we exchange 4×4 vehicles for camels for a pleasant two-hour ride through the dunes to the Berber camp. Overnight stay in Berber tents under the desert stars.
Day 5: Merzouga Desert – Visit to the Nomads
Enjoy the magic of the dunes in the desert! Today, we wake up early to watch the sunrise from the top of the dunes, followed by breakfast. We then embark on a 4×4 tour to visit the village of Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music. We continue our journey through one of the tracks used in the Paris-Dakar Rally and stop to admire the panoramic view of the Erg Chebbi sand desert. Visit to a nomad village in the desert to learn about their way of life and enjoy some tea. Return to the hotel. Free afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in the desert.
Day 6: Merzouga Dunes – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
After breakfast, we head to the Todra Gorges, famous for its high walls where climbers from all over the world come. We visit the gorges and continue our tour to the Dades Valley where we will spend the night. Dinner and overnight stay in the Dades Valley.
Day 7: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
After breakfast, we drive through the Valley of Roses and the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs to Ouarzazate, also known as the Hollywood of Morocco. We visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and then continue to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We then cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakech. Upon arrival, we will be dropped off at the hotel. Free time to explore the city. Accommodation in Marrakech.
Day 8: Explore Marrakech
After breakfast, we have a guided tour of Marrakech, visiting the Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Free afternoon. Accommodation in Marrakech.
Day 9: Marrakech – Essaouira – Marrakech
After breakfast, we head to the coast to visit the “Pearl of the Atlantic”, Essaouira. Free time to explore the fortress, the fishing port, the labyrinthine medina, the endless beach, and enjoy freshly caught fish and seafood. Return to Marrakech in the evening.
Day 10: Transfer to the Airport
At the agreed time, transfer to the airport for your departure flight. End of our services.
