Itinerary

Day 1: TRANSFER TO MARRAKECH HOTEL

At the agreed time, we will pick you

Day 2: MARRAKECH – HIGH ATLAS – AIT BEN HADDOU – OUARZAZATE – DADES VALLEY

After breakfast, we will begin the desert tour. You will cross the High Atlas Mountains through the highest pass in the country, Tizi n’Tichka (2,260m altitude), passing through interesting villages until we reach the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah (UNESCO World Heritage Site), a fortified complex within a walled town that has been the setting for many famous movies. Continuing the route, we will pass through Ouarzazate, the Road of the Thousand Kasbahs to Skoura, and then cross the Rose Valley to finally arrive at the Dades Valley. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel located in the Dades Gorges.

Day 3: DADES VALLEY – TODRA GORGES – MERZOUGA DESERT

The next day, after breakfast, you will continue the route passing through many Berber villages. You will visit the Todra Gorges with the possibility of having lunch there to enjoy the impressive place peacefully. Once the visit is finished, we will head directly to the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you will start a camel excursion to the heart of the desert, enjoying a sunset stop along the way. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with an excellent and restorative tea and a delicious Berber dinner, all accompanied by the music of the tam-tam (drums). You will enjoy a unique and unforgettable night under the stars in Berber tents.

Day 4: MERZOUGA DESERT – MIDELT – FEZ

Already in the desert, enjoying the magic of the dunes… Today, it’s obligatory to wake up early to watch the sunrise from the top of the dunes, we will have breakfast and say goodbye to the desert. We will head north through the Ziz Valley, taking advantage of the freshness of the blue source of Meski where you can rest. Planned stop in Midelt for lunch and then we will continue to Fez, passing through the towns of Ifrane and Azrou. Along the way, we will cross the cedar forest, with ancient cedars, where you can enjoy seeing the Barbary macaques or the Gibraltar monkeys. Accommodation in Fez.

Day 5: VISIT TO FEZ CITY

After breakfast, we will begin the visit to the oldest of the imperial cities and the spiritual center of the country. We will start with a panoramic view from one of the hills surrounding the city, then visit the bronze doors of the Royal Palace, and finally explore the medina, visiting Medersas (Quranic schools), artisan workshops divided by guilds, and the spectacular tannery district. Accommodation in Fez.

Day 6: FEZ – CHAOUEN

After breakfast, we will head north to the Rif area, where we will find Chefchaouen, our destination. You will have free time to explore its streets painted in white and blue, a village of wise, friendly, and respectful people, who offer beautiful urban panoramas, precious examples of local craftsmanship, and a peace and serenity that is difficult to find today. Accommodation in Casablanca.

Day 7: CHAOUEN – RABAT – CASABLANCA

After breakfast, we continue our tour of Morocco heading to the imperial city of Rabat (the capital since 1912). After 4 hours on the road, we will arrive at this modern and monumental city to visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan Tower. After the visit, we will continue our journey to Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco. Accommodation in Casablanca.

Day 8: CASABLANCA – MARRAKECH

After breakfast, we will go to Casablanca to visit the Hassan II Mosque, the largest in the world after the Mecca and Medina mosques. This architectural masterpiece was built on water. Its minaret, the tallest in the world, stands facing the Atlantic Ocean, offering a silhouette worthy of admiration. It can accommodate 20,000 worshipers inside and 80,000 on its esplanade. The only mosque that can be visited by tourists in Morocco, it opens its doors to non-Muslims with daily visits. After the visit, we will go directly to Marrakech. Accommodation in Marrakech.

Day 9: VISIT TO MARRAKECH CITY

After breakfast, we will have a guided tour of Marrakech: Starting with the Koutoubia Minaret (13th century), sister of the Giralda in Seville, a splendid harmony and the spiritual center of Marrakech. We’ll continue to the Saadian Tombs (16th century), known for its central vault of Carrara marble. Then, we’ll visit the Bahia Palace (16th century), an example of aristocratic life in medieval Muslim society, featuring its ambassador’s hall with a cedar wood ceiling. We’ll end with a walk to the Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site (the visit starts around 09:00 and ends at 13:00). Free afternoon. Accommodation in Marrakech.

Day 10: TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT

At the agreed time, we will transfer you to Marrakech airport where we will end one of the most complete circuits in Morocco.

NOTE: An extra day can be added to this itinerary to spend two nights in the desert for a more immersive experience with the nomads and additional activities. The package can be quoted with different options, hotel categories ranging from standard to luxury, and group or private trips.
