Itinerary

DAY 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

Arrival in Tangier, assistance from our staff at the airport or port, and transfer to Chefchaouen. Check-in and free time to explore the city on your own. Accommodation in Chefchaouen.

DAY 2: Chefchaouen – Fez

Breakfast, then we visit our first destination. In Chefchaouen (also known as “The Blue City”), we’ll have free time to wander around the city at our leisure. Explore its streets painted in white and blue, a town of wise, friendly, and respectful people, offering beautiful urban panoramas, exquisite examples of local craftsmanship, and a sense of peace and serenity. In the afternoon, we head to Fez.

DAY 3: Fez City Tour

Breakfast and visit to the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco. We’ll see the 7 gates of the Royal Palace, the Jewish quarter or Mellah, the Bab Bou Jeloud gate, which gives access to the Medina or old city, one of the most impressive in Morocco. We’ll stroll through its labyrinthine alleys and markets, visit the tannery district, and the Medersa, the oldest university in the world, and its Quaraouiyine Mosque. Free afternoon to enjoy the Medina at your own pace, where you’ll get lost in its magic. Accommodation.

DAY 4: Fez – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Sahara Desert

Breakfast and departure through the Middle Atlas, experiencing a new change of landscapes along the way. We leave the north to enter the south of Morocco. We’ll pass through Ifrane, “the Little Moroccan Switzerland”. This city was built during the French protectorate in the 1930s. We’ll stop at the Cedar Forest (Monkey Park), then continue to Erfoud, the capital of fossils and dates. Finally, arrival in the Sahara. Here, we’ll change our mode of transportation to camels and discover how nomads have traveled over the centuries. We’ll stop to admire the sunset and there will be an opportunity for sandboarding. Upon arrival at the camp, an excellent mint tea and a delicious traditional Moroccan dinner await us. With Berber drum music, we’ll enjoy a unique and unforgettable night, gazing at the multitude of stars that fill the desert sky. Dinner and accommodation at the camp.

DAY 5: Sahara Desert Experience (Jeep tour is optional)

Optional early wake-up to witness one of the greatest events during a stay in the Sahara, the sunrise, a spectacle of light and silence that will impress us. Breakfast and departure in 4×4 to explore one of the tracks used in the Paris-Dakar Rally, visiting mines and the remains of a French and Berber village. We’ll make panoramic stops in the middle of the Sahara and visit a nomadic desert village in the process of sedentarization, where we can have tea and learn more about their way of life. We’ll return to the hotel camp in the afternoon. Accommodation in the desert.

DAY 6: Sahara Desert – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

Optional early wake-up to witness one of the greatest events during a stay in the Sahara, the sunrise, a spectacle of light and silence that will impress us. Breakfast and departure through the Middle Atlas, experiencing a new change of landscapes along the way. We head to Todra Gorges, known for being one of the most spectacular rocky canyons in the country. After visiting its impressive gorge with a height of 300 meters, we continue to the Dades Valley. Accommodation.

DAY 7: Dades Gorges – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Breakfast. We start our journey on the Road of the Thousand Kasbahs, passing through Berber villages to reach the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, where we’ll discover traditional Berber architecture. This fortress is considered the most beautiful in the country and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, having been the setting for many films such as Game of Thrones, Prince of Persia, Jesus of Nazareth, and Gladiator. Here we’ll have lunch (not included). Then, we cross the High Atlas Mountains (2,260m), making several stops to enjoy the wonderful panoramic views until we reach Marrakech. Accommodation.

DAY 8: Marrakech City Tour

Breakfast. In the morning, we start our guided tour of the city of Marrakech: Starting with the Koutoubia Minaret (S:XIII), sister of the Giralda in Seville, it is currently the beacon and spiritual center of Marrakech. We’ll then visit the Bahia Palace (S:XVI), an example of aristocratic life in Muslim medieval times, with its ambassador’s hall featuring a cedar wood ceiling. Then, we head to the “Jemaa el Fna” Square, declared a World Heritage Site. The visit starts around 09:00 and ends around 13:00.

DAY 9: Transfer to the airport

At the indicated time, transfer to Marrakech airport to board your return flight. End of the trip and our services.
